Jessie Winters has it all the perfect house, a loving husband, an adorable little girl, a career and all of the outer trappings that signify a rich and blessed life. As a book club we chose "The Other Side of Through." It was an absolutely wonderful reading experience. It takes you back in time to your own childhood and early adulthood wondering what made your grandparents who they were, but especially your mother and what made her the woman she was. The storyline made me think about my experiences as a young girl and what I saw and heard. I was able to relate to Michelle Donice's quest for the spiritual side of life trying to figure out what lies ahead for me. I especially thought that the old woman in the woods was Jessie's revelation. I didn't like the ending too much, but think that Ms. Donice left the door open for another book!Product details

This was a vivid story, well done portrayal of what happens in abusive situations. Was so well done and so well written. I enjoyed it all even if the subject was a tough one!!

This book helped me to take a reflective view of my own life. I feel empowered to make difficult changes in my heart and actions.
This is a must read by Michelle Donice! She has worked hard to produce this first novel and truthfully, it would be great to see on the 'Big Silver Screen'.

This book was a wonderful thought provoking story that not only enthralled me in it's beautiful story telling, but also had me reflecting upon my own life. I'd love to see a sequel to this book.
I loved, loved, loved this book! This page turner was very eye opening and gave me a lot of insight into life and myself as a woman. I've recommended this book to others because there is so much that can be learned from the characters and their experiences throughout life. The knowledge that you can gain from this novel is overwhelmingly great. You would be amazed at the revelations you will have by the end of the book.
My book club "Sisters With A View" read this book in May 2012. One of the members is kin to Ms. Donice and she was able to join us for the book club discussion. She is an awesome woman and writer. It was a pleasure to meet her and I hope she writes a sequel!
